Saretha matriculated from Bloemhof Girls' High School in Stellenbosh, and was awarded a bursary from the Western Cape Government. After obtaining her B.Acc degree at Stellenbosch University, she worked for Provincial Treasury at the Department of Environmental Affairs in Cape Town for three years, where she had exposure to financial accounting, budgeting, cash flows and supply chain management.

She currently works as a tax specialist and para-planner at Aurum Trust.

​

Her hobbies include reading, baking, traveling and doing Pilates.
